Type 2 Asbestos
A semi-destructive survey, formerly known as a Type 2 asbestos survey but the correct name is a 'Management' survey. This is because the report which is produced is often adopted as the management plan or it is the basis of any management plan.
This type of survey is where a surveyor may take samples in order to prove or refute the presence of asbestos but care is taken so as not to disturb the fabric of the building.
We can work with any software to produce reports but predominantly we use ARMS. (Asbestos Risk Management Software). The software produces an excellent report which is printed and a HTML copy is produced so clients can put the report on to an intranet and go a long way to satisfy the communication clause in CAR2006. We also supply a pdf of the report as a matter of course.
